Adult Size: 6–8 in (15–20 cm)
Temperament: Aquatic, generally peaceful, can be shy

• Tank/Pond: Juveniles ~40 L, adults 80–100 L+ or pond
• Water Depth: At least twice the shell width
• Substrate & Décor: Bare bottom or smooth river stones; logs, plants, hiding spots, floating platforms
• Basking Area: Provide a dry area for hauling out and basking
   

• Water Temp: 22–28 °C (72–82 °F)
• Filtration: Strong filter to keep water clean
   

• Diet: Omnivorous — turtle pellets, insects, small fish, leafy greens
